From heliports to a new generation of flight.
On 23 January 2024, Joby Aviation announced a definitive agreement with Helo Holdings to install its Global Electric Aviation Charging System (GEACS) at Kearny Heliport. Joby said Kearny had served as a temporary aircraft base in November 2023 and that the agreement would provide an operational base for the NYC region. Public sources reviewed do not establish that the charger has been commissioned or that commercial passenger eVTOL flights operate there.
